Update

Life is Great! The snow is gone and I love the new signs of SPRING!
Just a few pics of what we have been up to.

Erica loves gymnastics and she is getting better every section showing more confidence. She can do a summersault really well. I should of bought a yoga matt a long time ago she would never do them at home. Mommy is busy being on the board and is wrapping up the spring section for the volunteers.

Bars, an area that mommy loved when she was in it!

A tall beam she was nervous!

Ryan and I had our First get a way from the girls. We had a fun filled trip to Toronto. Spent some time at the ROM museum, Raptors basketball game (Ryan's life long dream to see a game) 360 CN tower restaurant and day trip to Niagara Falls. We stayed in a 200 year old hotel down town and froze the whole time we were there.(I did anyway)

AMAZING!

What did we do?

Erica has been asking me for some time now to go and visit Suzie. So I finally made time and made it a date for us. I picked her up early from school and we together went to the salon and got our....

Hair cut short!

We had a good time! Many happy smiles and laughter was heard for all. Suzie is amazing and she is so fun to be with which makes it all that much better. We made our way for lunch. Where does Erica want to go? McDonalds, A&W, KFC? Well Erica chose Subway! She loves subs and sandwiches, the more in it the more she loves it!(just like Grandpa Evanson)
We finished up our date shopping for a birthday gift for a friend. Thank you Erica for a fun fun afternoon.
Just a cute picture of Aubrey I can't leave her out. Can you guess what she is saying?

Christmas @ the Evansons

We have had a crazy December and thanks to Erica hounding me we finally put our tree up. It was really hard for me this year to get into Christmas. So thankful for the excitement of my children to help me have the Christmas spirit.

The first thing we did was build a house of Gingerbread.

I just let the girl go at it! We had candy all
over the floor before we even got started.

The finished project

The ward did a Musical Fireside and asked the primary to sing. They sang "Picture of Christmas" and made the nativity. Erica was asked to be Mary, she was so proud of that special part.

There is Mary with Joseph(friend Levi) and Aubrey.
She had to be in the picture.

Erica's was talking about a school Christmas concert. She said they were going to sing and was really excited about us coming to watch. So she invited Grandma and was even more happy that Grandpa came too. They sang 4 little songs to us with all the actions. She still sings them and Aubrey is doing it along with her.

Erica with friends Zoe and Emma

Tradition : Christmas Eve Children's Dance @ the church has been going on here in Cherry Grove for as long as I can remember.

The girls dancing away!

At the end we got a visit from Someone! With treat bags and goodies. Through out we have all kinds of fun dance/activities and the kids/adults get prizes.

Get me out of here! Aubrey was okay
to look, but not to touch!

Dear Santa Clause I want a big Cinderella

Me and my beautiful girls

After dinner and the Nativity Story @ Grandmas we made our way home. Opened jammies ate our Jesus cupcakes and got ready for bed.

Our Beauties

Christmas Morning was a blast! Erica was right into it and was so exciting to watch. Aubrey really didn't understand at first. She soon got it from watching Erica.

Aubrey with her rocking horse.
She says "yee-haa" and goes crazy

Erica got a leap pad and was on it all the time.
We had to change the batteries the next day!
Her wish did come true she got her big Cinderella.

We told Erica that we would not have a big Christmas this year because we just went to Disney Land. We did write this in her Santa letter. She told us " Santa didn't listen we got so many new toys!"

On Boxing Day we booked the gym at the Church. We had so much fun playing with all our remote control everything and playing with fun games. A new tradition was born I think.

Love this pic Aubrey has to be right there with ya!

We had a really happy small Christmas. It will be remembered and cherished. Thank you Jesus for your Birthday so we can remember thee and build memories with our families.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Disney Land Part 1

For 2 years we have been saving our pennies. What have we been saving for? Well, to see Goofy of course! On the 18th of October we boarded a plane for California. We rented a house and invited my sister Benni-Sue and her family to come with us. We had tons of fun and are planning our next trip!

Ryan and I by Walt Disney

Goofy! The only time we saw him and
this is a zoom in on the camera.
Halloween time the whole park was
decorated in orange and black.

Amazed Aubrey on "It's a Small World" after all.

Big kids were on a ride and Aubrey found this duck.
"Quack, quack, quack" is all she would say.
Followed it around everywhere while
we were waiting. She loves ducks!?

Pull Ryan!

We found someone!
MICKEY MOUSE

I just missed her kissing his nose.
Aubrey was not scared of anyone, which was really nice.

Erica ran up and gave him a huge hug.

Don't know who was more excited me or the girls!

Preschool

We have had a busy week. Erica started preschool on Monday. She was so excited to go! (hope she is excited about school forever) I took her in the first day and got her ready and I didn't even get a hug. Just "buy mommy'' and she walked away and left me standing there. Yes, I did hold back the tears. She will go 3 mornings a week.

Excited smile!

She is into Hello Kitty as you can see.

Sitting in front of her cubby

Words from Erica...... I had fun and I had Drew and Eliza and Zoe. They are my best friends. I love them.(friends from her primary class) At preschool I have a snack and play dress up. I play with blocks. I love to be at preschool.

Butterfly Beauties

Erica got this towel from uncle Grant last summer. Every time she has it on Aubrey will go crazy laughing and trying to get it.

Found one for Aubrey and she would never let me put in over her head. Put it on and now she goes crazy all on her own! It was sure cute watching them fly around.

On the 23rd our primary had a float in the parade. The asked to dress up like someone from the scriptures. Ask Erica who she wanted to be and she said Nephi. We talked a little bit and I thought girls should be girls and here is Queen Esther. (She really doesn't look to happy) She was really scared for she was on a big trailer.

We took a few days in the beginning of July for holidays. We spent our time down south with Ryan's family. We had amazing weather and tons of fun.

Aubrey in amazement!

Erica "this is Beautiful!"

Day in Waterton. (Ryan's favorite place on earth)

It has been a good July. We have had so really crappy weather and have only been to the beach 4 times. Hope that August bring more beach days. We are only a few blocks away no excuses on a nice day.
Happy August!
